Who we are
Shush was born out of necessity.
For the past six years, we’ve run a software development consultancy. With a fully remote workforce, we’ve relied heavily on remote collaboration tools.
But at times, we found ourselves overwhelmed and unable to focus, a result of the very tools that were supposed to help us. Unable to find something that fit our needs, we’ve built it.
We believe there are others out there like us, who are tired of the noise. Read our Product Manifesto below to get a better sense of what we believe in.
What we believe in - our Shush Product Manifesto
Silence the noise. Amplify your mind.
At Shush, we believe that the best work—the kind that shifts industries, sparks revolutions, and reshapes the world—happens in deep focus. Distraction is the enemy of mastery, and yet, in today’s hyperconnected world, teams are drowning in notifications, endless meetings, and urgent-but-unimportant chatter.
We’re here to change that.
Our Principles
🕰 Asynchronous First
Great ideas don’t happen in a race to reply. Shush champions asynchronous communication, allowing thoughts to be considered, refined, and delivered at the right time—not just in real time.
🧘 Respect for Flow
Deep work requires uninterrupted focus. Our tools are built to protect your flow state, not fracture it. You decide when to engage, when to step back, and when to enter the silence of deep concentration.
💬 Mindful Communication
Every message should serve a purpose. No noise, no filler, no empty “just checking in” pings. We help teams cultivate a culture of intentionality, where each interaction adds value—not just volume.
🔕 Silence by Default
Notifications should serve you, not the other way around. With Shush, silence is the default, and only the most relevant updates surface when you choose to see them.
🎯 Less, but Better
More features don’t make better software—better features do. We build only what’s essential, stripping away excess to create a workspace that’s clean, efficient, and frictionless.
What We Stand Against
❌ The tyranny of always-on culture
❌ Endless back-and-forth messaging that replaces real progress
❌ Synchronous dependency, where work is held hostage by instant replies
❌ The dopamine-driven urgency of traditional chat tools
The Future of Work is Thoughtful
Shush isn’t just a tool—it’s a mindset shift. A commitment to working smarter, communicating better, and thinking deeper.
Because when the world gets quieter, your best ideas can finally be heard.
